Tourism Minister Officially Launches Scottish Golf Tourism Week 2017
Perfectly timed to coincide with Scottish Open fever in Ayrshire, PSP Media Group’s Tom Lovering met with Fiona Hyslop MSP on Thursday 13 July to officially launch Scottish Golf Tourism Week 2017.
Supported by VisitScotland and Scottish Enterprise, this year’s Scottish Golf Tourism Week takes place at Turnberry from 23 to 27 October and once again, brings the world’s leading golf buyers to Scotland for an exceptional week of familiarisation trips and one to one meetings with golf tourism businesses from across the country.
We were delighted that the Cabinet Secretary for Culture, Tourism and External Affairs took time out of her busy diary to officially launch this year’s event, as Scotland aims to hit the £300 million target for the value which golf tourism brings to the Scottish economy. There is a packed programme of trips, meetings and networking taking place at this year’s event, culminating in the all-important Scottish Golf Tourism Awards.
